Shoreditch is ready for the
Olympic challenge...

Shoreditch has matured from its early renaissance set in motion by artists who homed in on a dowdy East End district in the early 90s looking for cheap studio space.

Still a centre for musicians, arts students, fashion designers and media creatives, it's stopped being cool and its gotta' great life. Today it's a thriving business community, more expensive, a popular social centre ... and most important it's become both a business and local community.

Now we're planning for the Olympics - when Shoreditch is set to become the 'social centre' for the Olympians when they take time out from the track and from the Olympic village to enjoy the local hospitality and the London way of life.

Our challenge is to offer every Olympian cuisine of his or her own country check out the list of countries in the restaurants, cafes and bars in the Shoreditch and Hoxton area using local expertise!

Preparing a truly
International Cuisine

Over 11,000 Olympians from 203 countries - see our country list - will take part in the games. So tracking down the cuisine for each one is going to be a big task as we prepare to entertain them.

In addition to the many hundreds of visitors to the games, an estimated 16,000 broadcasters and journalists will be in the area to provide services to, in excess of, 4 billion televisionviewers ... and that's great business and exposure for Shoreditch and Hoxton!
