Shoreditch matures for the Olympic challenge...

Shoreditch has matured from its early renaissance set in motion by artists who homed in on a dowdy East End district in the early 90s looking for cheap studio space.

Still a centre for musicians, arts students, fashion designers and media creatives, it's stopped being cool and its gotta' great life.
Today it's a thriving business community, a popular social centre ... and most important it's become a community.

Now we're planning for the Olympics - when Shoreditch is set to become the 'social centre' for the Olympians when they take time out from the track and from the Olympic village.

Our challenge is to be able to offer every Olympian cuisine in the restaurants, cafes and bars in the Shoreditch and Hoxton area!

Over 11,000 Olympians from 203 countries - see our country list - will take part in the games. So tracking down the cuisine for each one is going to be a big task as we prepare to entertain them.

In addition to the many hundreds of visitors to the games,
an estimated 16,000 broadcasters and journalists will be
in the area to provide services to, in excess of, 4 billion television viewers ... and that's great business and exposure
for Shoreditch and Hoxton!
