One of the top ten music venues in town

Live music is key to the success of Cargo and in a typical week the music ranges from reggae to rock via electro and house, a touch of jazz, some world grooves+ ruff hip hop and drum 'n bass ... no cover bands or contrived boy/girl pop idol bands here.

And that's not all; housed in three high ceilinged, bricked vaults with glass frontage opening onto a large terrace, Cargo was a Time Out Bar of the Year nominee within three months of opening in 2001.

Arch 1 houses the restaurant, light streaming through three huge windows overlooking a yard with driftwood seating and towering bamboo filled planters. The yard is a popular space to relax in the sun in summer months and tuck into the barbecue with a great view of the colourful street art covering the opposite wall.

Arch 2 features the bar, free standing drinking stations and soft furnished lounge area. Beers range from Czech lagers to Guinness, German wheat beer and even Old Speckled Hen ale.

Arch 3 has the live bands and DJs performing most nights (till 3 am on Fridays and Saturdays).
