Local
collector's 'eccentricities' at the V & A Museum
Shoreditch's
very own Maurice Collins OBE, and launch chairman of Shoreditch Business Network is a well-known collector of eccentric
contraptions, and has given talks about
his crazy collection at many venues including the Victoria and Albert Museum
Lecture Theatre.
"As a collector its like reaching the top of everest " says Maurice
(above).
 His
'Eccentric Contraptions were designed and ingeniously adapted to make life
more convenient between 1850-1940.
The picture here shows one of his objects
- and there should be a prize for guessing
what this and all his other 'contraptions' were used for!
