SHOREDITCH
TOWN HALL RE-OPENED:
Now
it's a real show piece
Shoreditch
Town Hall has re-opened following a £2.3m programme
of refurbishment.
With its combination of grand public rooms and smaller
meeting rooms, Shoreditch Town Hall offers a unique venue
for parties, wedding receptions, launches, exhibitions,
film locations, photo shoots, rehearsals, meetings, corporate
entertainment, community projects, training events and
fashion shows.
The renovations include complete re-roofing and re-wiring
of the building, a new heating system for the main public
rooms and provision of disabled access to the ground
floor and basement. In addition, the imposing entrance
hall and original Council Chamber and Mayor's Parlour,
dating from 1865, have been fully restored to their former
glory.
